Course Schedule

Each Jungle to Jungle session will be 1.5 hours long.

The students will first login to their video messaging account and blog to check messages from us, interviews with scientists, photographs, videos , and blog entries.

The students will then research their comparison animals and send us any questions they might have about the expedition via video messaging or email. We want the students to help guide our research and journey.

They can also post their own blog entries if they have found something that they think the group would find interesting.

Tuesday, September 14th

• Introduction to Jungle to Jungle, Amanda and Jill, and the island of Borneo

Tuesday, September 21st

• First video conference takes place at Kihei Charter School
• Set up and discussion of any tech gear (soil sampler, microscopes, etc.)

Tuesday, September 28th

• First remote learning session. Jungle to Jungle is in Borneo.

Tuesday, October 5th

• Second remote learning session. Jungle to Jungle is in Borneo.

Tuesday, October 12th

• Third remote learning session. Jungle to Jungle is in Borneo.

Tuesday, October 19th

• Students finish up their comparison projects.

Tuesday, October 26th

• Week off

Tuesday, November 2nd

• Jill and Amanda return to Kihei Charter School.
• Group discussion/Q and A
• Wrap party
