The Lungless Frog (Barbourula kalimantanensis)
- Realized on April 8, 2010, this is an important discovery for science because there has never before been an amphibian discovered to have “lost” its lungs.
- The adaptation is special because it can give major insights into how animals have made the transition between sea and land in the past.
Tarsier
- Tarsiers are small primates with enormous eyes
- Each eyeball is 16 mm in diameter and is as large as their entire brain.
- They are named after their very long hind limbs(elongated tarsus bones)
