About Us
The Jungle to Jungle Project is an interactive science and technology program that introduces international discovery and biology by utilizing the latest digital tools and social media. Students become explorers as they share in the real-time adventures of educators visiting some of the world’s most remote places and meeting foreign students through live video uplink.
The ongoing project teaches sustainability and preservation, through increased awareness. Jungle to Jungle is intended as a partial-semester addition to the normally scheduled curriculum.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to to improve education by connecting students in Hawaii and around the world to one another and engage them in interactive, question- driven learning. We teach science AND how to be fluent in the new language of technology.
The Founders
The Jungle to Jungle Project was founded in 2009 by instructors and explorers Amanda Wilson and Jill Pridemore. In 2009, they led an expedition down the Amazon River. This coming year, they head to Borneo. Click on their names above or their photos to the left to learn more about them.
