We love this one and it only has a few days left, so donate now! Make sure you check out Patrick Dougherty’s art. It’s amazing and environmentally friendly!

Campaign
World-renowned environmental sculptor Patrick Dougherty is coming to the Hui for a September 2011 residency. During his 20-day visit, the artist will work directly with the community to develop, plan and create an installation using saplings of invasive tree species. The final sculpture will mark the launch of the Hui No`eau Environmental Art Garden: Ho`ololi, a new public art program which aims to cultivate community and raise awareness about Hawai‘i’s endangered ecosystems by inspiring conversation, encouraging public participation, and creating fellowship between artists and environmentalists. Building bridges between art and social awareness, architecture, accessibility, volunteerism and teamwork, this remarkable opportunity uses the arts as a catalyst for strong community building, guarantees access to a high quality visual arts educational experience, and invites people from all walks of life to create a space for community art.

Very Very Cool. Visit the Kickstarter campaign here.
